At the ceremony on the 4th of November 2009 held by the “Latvijas gaisa
satiksme” (LGS) and attended also by Judith Garber, U.S. ambassador to
Latvia, ambitious study aimed at modernizing the Latvian Air Traffic
System was launched.
The funding for this project is provided
by US Trade and Development Agency that chose DORS International, a US
company, to provide consulting assistance and prepare for the technical
and financial aspects of the Program.
Ambassador Judith Garber
in her address emphasised the project’s significance in strengthening
relations between the USA and Latvia:
“The United States and
Latvia are recognised as strong partners in political and military
issues, but our economic relationship is just as important. US-Latvian
business cooperation is a key part of our relationship, and our
government wants to encourage even more. We are here to celebrate a
prominent example of the kind of economic benefits we can achieve when
we work together.”
