Airservices Australia cuts 300 jobs

The group which provides the national air traffic control service is to axe 300 jobs.

Airservices Australia says the organisation is working towards a flatter management structure, removing duplication of functions.

Chief executive officer Greg Russell says there will be no impact on air traffic control, aviation rescue or firefighting services.

The job cuts are expected to take 15 months and will include voluntary and involuntary redundancies.
